Columbia high school gets new principal

Columbia district officials say they have chosen a new principal for Rock Bridge High School, and they are leaning on a current employee to lead more than 1,700 students.

Jennifer Mast will take over next year. She is currently the assistant principal and athletic director at Rock Bridge.

Mast is also a Rock Bridge grad herself and has 15 years experience in education.

The current principal, Mark Maus, is becoming a principal in the North Kansas City school district, where he also served as assistant principal when he left to come to Columbia in 2010.
