Man robbed while making a night deposit, suspects escape

Two suspects escaped early Thursday after holding up a man attempting to make a night deposit in Jefferson City.

They approached the 52-year-old man in the parking lot of Jefferson Bank on Southwest Boulevard around 5:50 a.m. One had a gun and demanded money.

The victim handed over the bank bags. He and another person tried chasing the robbers but lost them near Bubba Lane and Southridge Drive.

Officers canvassed the area and found the bags and gun. The suspects remain on the loose.

Anyone with any information should call the Jefferson City Police Department at (573) 634-6400, or CrimeStoppers at 659-TIPS.
