Jefferson City man accused in teen beating

Mark Yarbrough, 19, was sentenced to eight years in prison Wednesday for the beating of a Jefferson City teenager last August.

Yarbrough was convicted of second-degree robbery and third-degree assault.

Last fall Jefferson City police were called to the 1100 Block of Jackson where five men jumped a group of three teens.

Yarbrough hit one of the victims, drug him to the ground and hit and kicked the teen in the head.

Court documents then say Yarbrough stole a wallet, iPod, and cellphone.
