Adam Wainwright gets big contract extension

Pitcher Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals have finally come to a deal.

The Red Birds announced they signed a five-year, $97.5 million contract extension with the ace.

Waino missed the entire 2011 season after he underwent Tommy John surgery. He went 14-13 with a 3.94 ERA this past season.
