Woman Injured in Assault

A woman was assaulted early Monday morning and taken to the hospital for treatment.The assault happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Highview Avenue in Columbia. Officers aren’t sure if she was hit in the head with a gun or if a bullet grazed her. The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.No arrests have been made and no suspect description is available.
