Three Arrested After Drug Search

Three people were arrested Thursday afternoon after Cole County deputies served two drug-related search warrants.According to a news release, the searches happened at 5217 Veil of Tears and 525 Empire Drive around 8:30 a.m. The searches were part of an ongoing narcotics investigation with Cole County and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force. National Guard Counterdrug Task Force and the Highway Patrol SWAT team also participated.The Veil of Tears search found one half ounce of methamphetamine, $43000 in cash, marijuana, plastic bags and digital scales. The three people in custody were arrested at this location and could face charges of drug possession and intent.The search on Empire Drive yielded digital scales that had meth residue on them and other drug paraphernalia.
