Road Woes No Mo’

Keion Bell scored 24 points, Jabari Brown added 20 and Missouri easily defeated Mississippi State 78-36 on Wednesday night, earning their first true road win of the season.Missouri (18-6, 7-4 SEC) jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the opening minutes and led 34-10 by halftime. It took Mississippi State (7-16, 2-9 SEC) more than nine minutes to score its first basket – a 3-pointer by Colin Borchert – but by that time the game was basically finished.The Tigers handed Mississippi State its ninth consecutive loss, a streak that’s spanned more than a month.Missouri led by as many as 44 points in the second half and shot 31 of 58 (53.4 percent) from the field. Phil Pressey took just one shot — which he made — and handed out eight assists. He now has 507 in his Missouri career. Mizzou’s next road test, however, will not be quite as simple as the under-manned Bulldogs. The Tigers travel to Bud Walton Arena Saturday to take on Mike Anderson and the Arkansas Razorbacks.
