New Judge Picked for Murder Case

A man charged in the December murders of a couple in Ivy Bend will get a new judge to oversee his trial.Morgan County Circuit Court officials say 25-year-old Ronald Blowers request for a change of judge was granted. Judge Kenneth Hayden has been assigned to the case.Blowers also filed a motion for a change of venue.Blowers is charged with two counts of second degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of first degree burglary for the murders of Wayne and Mae Wells. Court documents state they were killed using a pipe, knife, screwdriver and gun.Morgan County Sheriff Jim Petty says Blowers remains jailed in Versailles.
