The Missouri Department of Transportation has issued a “no travel advisory” for the state through Tuesday night. The agency says because of hazardous driving conditions, travel is not advised on any of that state’s roads, including I-70, I-35, and I-29. They are asking drivers to avoid travel unless it is a “dire emergency.” Because of the heavy snow and gusty winds, near whiteout conditions are expected much of Tuesday.MoDOT says if anyone does attempt to drive, they should bring a cell phone and winter survival supplies.
