Man Threatens to Kill a Judge

A Portland man leads Callaway County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed chase before crashing outside of Fulton. According to the Sheriff’s press release Friday, the man, Keith Smart, got smart with deputies and threatened to blow up the courthouse and kill a judge when deputies put him in jail. Smart also allegedly told a deputy, not named in the release, that he had the chance to kill him because he recently had him at the end of his rifle scope. Smart is charged with several traffic violations and for having drug paraphernalia. He’s being held on a $30,000 bond.
