Hy-Vee Recalls Dog Food
Hy-Vee is recalling some of its dog food products because they may contain a toxin commonly found in corn.Aflatoxin can cause reluctance to eat, vomiting, diarrhea and yellowing of the eyes in dogs. Tests conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture found traces of the toxin in samples of the food made at a Kansas City-area plant.Hy-Vee said the recall is voluntary and does not pose a health risk to human handling it.
