Double Homicide in Morgan County

***UPDATE 5 P.M.***Authorities say the victims are Carol and Freddie Wilson. They were shot at their home on Dorsey Lane off Highway TT, south of Versailles.Officials say Carol Wilson called 911 around 11:05 a.m. to say she was shot, then called back a couple minutes later. Carol and Freddie both died shortly after a Morgan County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at the house.Three people are still in custody. Morgan County Sheriff Jim Petty says the three people did know the victims, but there is no motive yet.Charges are expected later tonight or Tuesday.***ORIGINAL STORY***The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a double homicide near Versailles.According to Sheriff Jim Petty, a woman called 911 around 11 a.m. Monday and told officials she had been shot. Deputies and a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper were dispatched to the residence and found a man and a woman had been shot.Authorities say a deputy stopped a white van near the home and later, a detective had to swerve to avoid being hit by a white van that attempted to hit his vehicle head-on. The van damaged the detective’s car and then ran into a ditch.Three people, one woman and two men, were taken into custody.The Sheriff’s Department is not releasing the names of the victims or the three people in custody.
