Crews Demolishing Bridge Friday

Another complication for drivers is the demolition of the pedestrian bridge this weekend near Douglass Park.ABC 17 News confirmed the work is still scheduled, which means Providence Road near downtown Columbia will shutdown completely between Ash and Worley.It will last from 7 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. on Saturday.Officials think the new medians will give people somewhere safe to stand when crossing the street.The project costs over $200,000.
