Alleged Kidnapper to go to Trial

The alleged ringleader behind a rape and kidnapping case is heading to trial Monday.Sean Williams is accused of keeping a woman hostage in a deep freezer in Moberly. Prosecutors also say he raped her repeatedly, but the woman was able to escape.Michael Wright and Tracy Stodgell both pleaded guilty to their roles in the crime. Police had said it all stemmed from a drug deal that escalated. Deputies say the three went to the Super 8, kidnapped the woman, bound and gagged her. After that, Williams is accused of taking the woman to the freezer and raping her.Wright and Stodgell are now testifying against Williams.If found guilty, Williams could spend anywhere from 3 years in prison to multiple life sentences.
