3/4: Rain, Snow & Warming

The work week will start off mild as high temperatures reach the upper 40s to lower 50s Monday under mostly cloudy skies. Another storm system will bring the chance of light rain to Mid-Missouri from late afternoon Monday into the overnight hours. Light showers will briefly turn to light snow early Tuesday morning and end with the best chance of snow in northeastern Missouri. As colder air aloft moves in, light snow showers will re-develop during the day Tuesday ending by Tuesday night. Rainfall amounts will be light with under two tenths of an inch. Little or no snowfall accumulation is expected with an inch possible in areas north of I-70 and east of HWY 63 and less than an inch elsewhere.Temperatures will be chilly Tuesday and Wednesday before we warm up again later in the week.
