Suspects flee crash on I-70
Columbia police made two arrests after the suspects tried to run from a crash scene.
Police got the call at 10:35 p.m. Thursday about a one car rollover crash at I-70 and Business Loop 70 East.
When officers got there they learned about another crash in which someone was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the highway. They did not suffer any injuries.
Police say Donzell Tolston and the passenger, Ian Elbert-Brookins ran away from the original accident. They were both taken into custody. Tolston was arrested for DWI and leaving the scene of an accident. Elbert-Brookins was arrested for resisting or interfering with an arrest.
