Three armed men rob Columbia store Tuesday morning
Columbia police are investigating an armed robbery at Columbia Coin & Stamp.
Around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the store off Bernadette Dr. for a report of an armed robbery.
According to police, three black men carrying silver handguns entered the store and demanded money. Two of the suspects wore ski masks over their faces. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a brown Chevrolet Suburban, driven by a fourth suspect.
Officers say one of the three suspects in the store fled on foot. A CPD K-9 unit was called to the scene to help track that suspect.
All three suspects were described as black men in the 20s, approximately 5’9″ and under 175 pounds, and wearing black hoodies. Two of the suspects may have worn masks during the robbery.
The robbery is still under investigation and police have not said if Tuesday’s robbery and convenience store robberies Monday night are connected.
