Woman Hurt in Hit-and-Run

Sedalia police officers are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run at the AutoZone store on West Broadway. According to the police report, a 60-year-old woman was in the parking lot helping her daughter with car problems. Another driver started honking because the daughter’s car was in the way. When the driver tried to go around, they allegedly ran over the daughter’s foot.The mother said the driver then hit her as she was yelling about the incident, causing her to roll over the car’s hood. The driver then allegedly hit the victim again before driving out of the parking lot and away from the scene. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.Police haven’t released a suspect description, but say he or she was driving a silver Ford Contour or Escort of a late nineties or early 2000’s model.
