Vigil in the Capitol City

The hurt and the confusion of the mass killings on Friday made it way to Mid-Missouri too over the weekend. “We lost children of America, not just one but several and teachers are going to be affected and kids who are survivors of the community will be affected for the rest of their life it’s not going to go away over night,” said Lacey Leibel who organized a vigil in Jefferson City on Sunday night.A handful of people came together at Binder Park to pray and send thoughts out east. Their message was to stop all violence even here in Mid-Missouri. The group hopes to continue to have vigils once a month to urge the community to come together and help violent crime disappear.
