Trailer Fire Cause Unknown

Columbia fire crews are investigating a Sunday morning fire at Woodstock Trailer Court on New Haven Road.Crews at the scene told ABC 17 News the residents noticed the trailer filling with smoke from the chimney just before 9:30 a.m. and called 911. When crews arrived, they found fire along a fireplace and adjoining wall. According to a news release, crews got the fire under control within ten minutes but stayed on the scene for more than one hour.Two adults and two children were in the home at the time of the fire, but not injured. The American Red Cross was providing aid for that family Sunday afternoon. Crews said the trailer was uninhabitable.Investigators say the cause of the fire is still unknown and damage estimates are around $40,000
