Toys Recalled Around Christmas

Parents are making returns after the holidays, after companies recalled several toys near Christmas. A common baby toy was recently pulled from shelves called the “Sassy Brand Hug N Tug Puppy”. It also comes in a monkey as well. They were sold at Target and Toys “R” Us and 43,000 were sold right before Christmas. All the items were removed from stores, but the model numbers are #80213,# 80214, and #61083.The Consumer Product Safety Commission pulled the item because children could choke on the beads and small pieces. When asked if this would change how she shopped, Barbie Morgan, a mother of four said, “There’s not really a way around it when you have this many kids, as I do, but it’s nice they send out recall e-mails.” Another mother, Michelle Thomas said, she returned a few recalled items and said, “Toys “R” Us was very accommodating.” She said, “They let me return them for a complete exchange.” For more information you can go to www.cpsc.gov
