Tigers Keep Rolling

Sophomore Abi Raymer and senior Taiwo Adeshigbin each notched a goal as the 16th-ranked Mizzou soccer team shutout Mississippi State Sunday afternoon, 2-0. The win improved Mizzou??s record to 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the SEC.??We thought Mississippi State really challenged us today from a physical standpoint,? Mizzou Head Coach Bryan Blitz said. ??We felt our group responded well and we are happy to earn a Sunday win.?Wayne Kreklow’s volleyball team also notched a Sunday win, thanks mostly to the exploits of outside hitter Lisa Henning. The Tigers took down Alabama in four sets — 25-29, 22-25, 25-28, 25-26 — and Henning nearly notched a triple double. The All-American pounded 23 kills into the hardwood, had 16 digs, and blocked seven shots at the net. With the win, Missouri moved to 13-5 overall and 5-3 in SEC play.
