Teen Shot in Columbia

***UPDATE 7:54 P.M.***Officers are not sure if a later shooting after 6 p.m. Friday is related.Five to eight were fired in northeast Columbia near Sylvan Lane and Whitegate Drive, but nothing was hit.***ORIGINAL STORY***Police are looking for the suspect who shot a teen just east of Columbia Friday morning.The call came out to 4323 Santa Barbara Drive in the El Chaparral subdivision off WW a little after 10 a.m. Friday.Police confirmed an 18-year-old man was hit in the leg as he walked into his back yard after taking out his trash.The suspect was originally described as a light-skinned black man with dreadlocks wearing all black, possibly around 6-feet tall and carrying a small-caliber pistol.
