Suspected Bank Robber Arrested

***UPDATE THURSDAY 9:40 A.M.***Columbia police confirm CPD officers, along with the FBI and St. Louis Police Department, arrested Hilary Bernard Miller in the 2900 block of Miami St. in St. Louis just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.According to officers, Miller allowed law enforcement to search his home. During the search, police found evidence connected to the bank robberies in Columbia. Officials will not release what evidence was recovered.***ORIGINAL STORY***According to Boone County Jail officials, a St. Louis man is behind bars in Boone County in connection with a pair of bank robberies in Columbia.Hilary Bernard Miller, 40, was arrested in St. Louis by the Columbia Police Department and transported to Columbia Wednesday night.Law enforcement believe Miller robbed the Academic Employees Credit Union on June 14th and the Columbia Employee Credit Union on July 16th. He is in custody on two counts of first-degree robbery and is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $200,000 bond.According to the Department of Corrections, Miller is currently on parole. He was convicted of second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in September 1991. He had also been previously convicted for two counts of armed criminal action.
