Suspect Arrested for Hit-and-Run

Columbia police have arrested a woman for a hit-and-run crash on Monday evening.Marian M. Ohman, 86, turned herself into police Wednesday afternoon. Officers say a vehicle driven by Ohman was traveling north on Garth Avenue around 5:20 p.m. when it struck a woman who was loading children into a car. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, but the suspect vehicle fled the scene.Ohman was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident, then released on summons.
