BCS:The first week of the BCS standings were released Sunday. Alabama is #1 and second ranked Florida is no where close, for the moment.Bama received a rating of .9761, while Florida had .9092. Oregon, Kansas St and Notre Dame round out the top five.In the first week of the standing seven SEC teams were ranked. LSU, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas A&M round out the Top 25. If Bama keeps winning, it will be their second consecutive year in the BCS Title Game, a game they’ve played in the last three out of four years.PLAYER OF THE WEEK:Texas A&M Quaterback Johnny Manziel is rewriting the SEC Record Book, and he’s only a freshmen. Against Louisiana Tech last night, he had 576 total offensive yards. 181 rushing with three touchdowns, and 395 yards passing, with three touchdowns in the air.Manziel became the first player in SEC history to record 500 plus yards in a season…a record he broke earlier in the season.
