Police Look into Armed Robberies

***UPDATE 1:20 P.M.***Columbia police have released video stills of the suspects involved in the St. Charles Road Petro Mart robbery earlier this morning. No surveillance photos of the Stadium Boulevard Petro Mart robbery have been released yet.***UPDATE 9:45 A.M.***Police say there were two suspects in the St. Charles Road Petro Mart robbery. The first suspect walked in, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the store clerk. The second suspect reportedly stood outside as a lookout. The suspects got away on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.The first suspect is described as a black male, 6′ tall, thin build, wearing a black jacket, light-colored stocking cap, brown work gloves and dark clothing covering his face.The second suspect is described as black male, under 6′ tall, medium build and wearing a black jacket.***UPDATE 5:48 A.M.***Right now police are on scene at another reported armed robbery, this one at the Petro Mart on St. Charles Road east of Columbia. The call went out at around 5 a.m. Police have confirmed a robbery at the convenience store and say they believe it is connected to the earlier robbery at the Petro Mart in west Columbia.Stay with abc17news.com for the latest on this developing story.***ORIGINAL STORY***Columbia police are investigating an armed robbery at the Petro Mart at Stadium Boulevard and Bernadette Drive early Thursday morning. Officers on the scene told ABC 17 News the suspect came in, showed a gun and demanded money. He got an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the scene. No one at the Petro Mart was hurt.The suspect is described as a thin black male, 5’9″ or 5’10”, wearing a dark coat at the time.
