Police Investigate Shots Fired

Jefferson City police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon.According to police, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Olive and Park Streets for a report of shots fired at 2:21 p.m. Witnesses say two black males had fired shots and then fled the area in a gold-colored sport utility vehicle.Police say witnesses provided very little information, but detectives did recover one shell from the scene.No one was injured in the shooting and the investigation is still ongoing.While investigating the shooting, officers arrested a 20-year-old male for two unrelated warrants and on a charge of distribution of marijuana. Police also arrested a 22-year-old female for obstruction of police.
