Murder Charges Upgraded

The Morgan County Prosecutor’s office has upgraded charges against a mother and her boyfriend accused of killing a child.Jamie Ann Litton, 26, of Stover and Thomas T.J. Presley, 21, of Versailles are now charged with first degree murder and child abuse resulting in death. Both charges are Class A felonies.Litton and Presley had been previously charged with second degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child for the death of 3-year-old Blake Litton.Their bond is now set at $1 million each.Authorities allege that Litton and Presley beat the boy and then reported he was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver along Missouri 135. Litton allegedly failed to seek medical treatment for him.
