Man Arrested After Car Chase

A Columbia man is behind bars Sunday morning following a high-speed chase in Boone County.Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to pull over a car for speeding near the 5000 block of Clark Lane around 1 a.m. Sunday.The car, driven by 47-year-old Henry C. Wilson, failed to stop and a high-speed pursuit followed before the car finally stopped near the intersection of Vandiver Drive and Parker Street.Upon searching Wilson, deputies allegedly found individually-packaged crack cocaine.Wilson was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and speeding.His bond is set at $1,290, except for the charge of possession of a controlled substance. A bond for that charge has yet to be set by a judge. Wilson remains in the Boone County Jail.
