Man Accused in Columbia Crimes

A man charged in connection to past Columbia shootings is now connected to two other crimes.Cedric Barnum was first accused in a shots fired in March near Switzler and Bryant Streets in Columbia. In May, he was arrested for his involvement with a shooting at Oakland Park on Memorial Day.Now, police connect him to two more incidents. This week, he was arrested for a home invasion from April. Officers say Barnum was armed with a handgun when he broke into a home on Mexico Gravel Road. The victim reported money, electronics and marijuana stolen. Barnum was also arrested this week for a shooting at Douglass Park in April.In June, Barnum’s mother spoke with ABC 17 news, and said her son was targeted by the gang Squad Up. According to his mother, Cedric Barnum had been a target for months.
