Local Man Accused of Sex Crimes
Prosecutors have charged Daniel E. Bredenkoetter, 64, of Columbia, with six counts of statutory rape and two counts of statutory sodomy in Warren County Circuit Court. He is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Bredenkoetter appeared in Warrenton Monday afternoon for his initial arraignment. His bond is set at $200,000 cash-only, and his next court appearance is scheduled for December 10. Bredenkoetter lives in the 8700 block of Cedar Court in Columbia. Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison did not return numerous calls for more information Monday. Bredenkoetter is accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female relative multiple times at her Warren County home. The incidents allegedly took place over several months.
