Holiday Burglary Numbers Drop

Columbia police are investigating two dozen burglaries that happened over the Thanksgiving holiday.Police say from November 16 through November 27, there were 24 residential burglaries.Investigators say the break-ins happened in north, central and south Columbia.There is no word on if any arrests have been made.During last year’s holiday period, which was November 18 through November 29, police investigated 36 residential burglaries, three commercial burglaries and one other burglary.
