Highway 124 Speed Limit Changing
On Wednesday, the speed limit in the area of Highway 124 and Route U near Hallsville will be lowered from 55 to 45 miles per hour. The Missouri Department of Transportation will place a warning sign as a reminder of the change.The decision to lower the limit comes after residents expressed concerns about the speed limit and signage in the area at a public meeting in March. MoDOT says it plans to make improvements to speed limit signs in the area.
