Hickman Heroes

Jefferson City is arguably the most successful football program in the history of Missouri High School football. Arnell Monroe and the Hickman Kewpies are not impressed. For the second straight season, the Kewpies stunned Jeff City.Friday night, the Kewpies managed just a little more than 200 yards, but ultimately had more of what mattered most: points. Trailing 9-7 in the 4th quarter, QB Mason Murray hit Roderick Beasley on back-to-back deep balls that put Hickman in the end zone and on top on the scoreboard, 14-9. The Kewpie defense sealed the game when Eric Wise intercepted Jeff City QB Thomas LePage to secure the win. The undefeated Kewpies (6-0) have a bye next week, while the Jays (5-1) look to rebound against Gateway Tech at Adkins Stadium.
