Free Rides for New Years Eve
Jefferson City police and local cab companies are offering free rides home this New Years Eve again, in an effort to cut down on drunk driving.A similar program will be held in Osage Beach.Last year, more than 2,000 people utilized the Capital City’s “Sober Driver Program.” It offers free $10 cab rides from a bar or restaurant back to a home or hotel. The ride cannot end at another bar.Bartenders will have vouchers for the program on New Years Eve.
