***UPDATE FRIDAY 6:15 P.M.***Christopher Hunt was sentenced to a total of 5 years and 9 months behind bars.He will spend 5 years with the department of corrections for Burglary in the First Degree, 3 months for Property Damage, and 6 months for Assault.His sentence starts today, and he must serve the time concurrently.***ORIGINAL STORY***A former St. Charles sheriff’s deputy is set to be sentenced today for burglary, assault and property damage.In August, Christopher Hunt was found guilty. Prosecutors say Hunt responded to a meth raid because he had a grudge against the suspect, and when he responded, he assaulted the man.Hunt was a member of the Saint Charles sheriff’s department, and responded to nearby Montgomery County. Officials have said this incident could affect cooperation between departments.
