Drug Take Back This Weekend

This weekend you have a chance to drop off any unwanted prescriptions or medications. You can bring in the pills anonymously and they will be disposed by the Drug Enforcement Agency. The goal is to prevent prescription drug abuse and help the environment.In Boone County drug take back days are Friday and Saturday.On Friday you can drop pills off at the following locations:Harry S. Truman VA Hospital, 800 Hospital Drive, Columbia 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.MU Student Center, Univ. of Missouri Columbia 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.On Saturday the take back times will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the following locations:Ashland High School, 14520 Crump Ln, AshlandCentralia Police Department Lobby, 114 S. Rollins, CentraliaHallsville Intermediate School Commons, 421 E. Highway 124, HallsvilleHickman High School, 1104 N. Providence, ColumbiaRock Bridge High School, 4303 S. Providence Rd., ColumbiaSturgeon High School, 24350 N. Fairgrounds Rd., SturgeonIn Cole County you can drop off any old or unwanted pills on Saturday. Officer and EMS workers are taking medicines from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Emergency Services Building.Holts Summit will also participate Saturday. From 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. you can drop pills off at Holts Summit City hall at 245 South Summit Drive.
