Deputies Searching for Fugitive

Callaway County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a fugitive who they believe may be armed.Deputies say Joseph B. Wyatt, 24, of Auxvasse was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Highway 54 around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Wyatt apparently fled the scene before deputies and troopers arrived at the scene.According to officials, Wyatt then posted on his Facebook page that he was involved in a car wreck and that the car rolled three times before he ran from the crash.Because of a photo on his Facebook page, deputies believe he may be armed. Wyatt is a wanted parole absconder. Law enforcement believes he may be in the Auxvasse or Mexico area.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.
