Around 1 p.m., two housekeepers say they heard a knock at the door. A man told them his car had broken down and he needed water for the radiator. The housekeepers went to collect water and brought it back to the door.”He forced his way in, displayed a pistol and demanded the housekeeper take him to where the cash was and other valuables,” said Detective Tom O’Sullivan of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.According to law enforcement, the man stole cash, a computer and an iPad. The housekeepers were not injured during the incident. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-to-late 30s and balding. One of the victims said he may have been under the influence of some substance.Investigators are looking into several active leads and say this incident should keep everyone on their toes.”This serves as a reminder that an incident of this nature can happen anywhere,” said Det. O’Sullivan. “As I said, this neighborhood i would consider affluent.”
