City of Centralia Without Water

***UPDATE WEDNESDAY 10:51 A.M.***The city confirmed Wednesday tests came back clean, and the boil order was lifted. Officials also reminded people to empty their ice trays and makers before reusing. ***UPDATE TUESDAY 3:45 P.M.***Centralia officials say the boil order will likely remain in effect until Wednesday. Water samples have been sent to a lab for testing and the city is awaiting those results before lifting the order.Centralia R-IV School students are asked to bring in water again on Wednesday.***UPDATE 7:58 P.M.****Centralia Public Schools Superintendent Darin Ford tells ABC 17 News he expects school to be open Tuesday, but the district is asking parents to send students with at least three bottles of water that day.Centralia Head Start has also canceled classes for Monday.***UPDATE 6:32 P.M.***Centralia Schools have canceled classes for Monday, November 12th because of the boil order.***UPDATE 5:45 P.M.***Centralia city leaders tell ABC 17 News water should be restored later Sunday night – and the city will be under a boil order for at least 48 hours.Two water main breaks are being blamed for the outage and crews are still on the scene trying to restore water pressure to residents.***ORIGINAL STORY***City of Centralia officials confirm for ABC 17 News Sunday afternoon that residents are without water – and may be without water the rest of the day.According to city officials said a water main break Sunday morning caused water to run out across the city by about 1:30 p.m. Crews were on the scene of the break trying to fix it.A boil order had not been issued as of 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
