Church Cleared After Bomb Threat
A block of central Columbia reopened just after 8 p.m. Friday after being shut down for a bomb threat to Second Baptist Church.Police told an ABC 17 News crews at the scene a bomb threat was called into the church around 7 p.m. Friday. At that time, officers evacuated the church and shut down the area around Broadway and 4th Street.A K9 unit from the University of Missouri police was brought in to search the building and surrounding area. Officers gave the all-clear around 8 p.m. and reopened the block around the church.Columbia police were continuing to investigate the source of the call Friday night.
