Chick-fil-A Coming to Jeff City
Chick-fil-A could be coming to the Capital City.Last week, Jefferson City’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved a plan to re-subdivision the plot Lowes currently sits on at Missouri Boulevad and Wildwood Drive. The plan will split that land into two lots, one for Lowes and one that the home improvement store will sell to a developer for the fast food chain.Monday city planners told ABC 17 News they expect a late summer, or early fall opening for the restaurant, famous for its cow mascot urging folks to “Eat Mor Chikin.” GBC Design, based in Akron, OH, is handling the development of the lot.According to documents filed with the city, the restaurant will have a drive-thru window. The new lot, made up of parking lot space for Lowes, is expected to be sold around June, with construction starting as early as July. As always, construction timelines can change based on the property sale and weather factors.ABC 17 News reached out to GBC Design Monday afternoon, but their offices had already closed for the day.
