Bouncing Back

The Jeff City Jays hammered the Gateway Tech Jaguars (Mizzou DT Sheldon Richardson’s alma mater) Friday night at Adkins Stadium, 56-2, improving to 6-1 on the season after last week’s crushing loss at home to Hickman. Scott Stegeman, who came into week 7 fourth in the area in yards per catch, turned his usual tricks hauling in a TD pass from QB Thomas LePage to put Jeff City up 42-7 at one point. Next week, the Jays travel to Kansas City to take on the Rockhurst Hawklets, ranked 4th in the state and coming off a 38-21 win over Rock Bridge this week in Columbia.
