Jabari Brown, playing in his first game since Nov. 17, 2011 when he was a freshman at Oregon, scored 12 points and the 12th-ranked Missouri Tigers (9-1) beat South Carolina State 102-51 on Monday night.Brown, 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard, became eligible at the end of the first semester. He entered the game with 16:01 left in the first half. After a missed 3-pointer, he assisted on a fast-break layup by Negus Webster-Chan, and scored his first points on two free throws with 9:35 remaining.Senior Laurence Bowers scored 11 points Monday night, becoming the 44th player in Missouri Tiger history to reach that plateau in his career. Bowers becomes the third player from the 2008-2009 freshman class to hit the 1,000-point mark at Mizzou, joining Marcus Denmon and Kim English. Earnest Ross led all scorers with 16 points. In his first career start, freshman Stefan Jankovic scored 11 points. Keion Bell, also in the starting lineup, chipped in 12 points as well. Mizzou will take on 10th-ranked Illinois Saturday evening in St. Louis in the annual Bud Light Braggin’ Rights game. For the first time since 2002 both teams are ranked inside the top-15 in the AP Poll at the time of the game.
