3 Shot in Columbia Drive-By
***UPDATE WEDNESDAY 12:20 P.M.***Columbia police say the three male victims in the shooting, two 18-year-olds and a 29-year-old, are not cooperating with police. The first victim suffered a gunshot to the hand and was treated at the scene. The second victim received a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to University Hospital. The third victim, the 29-year-old, was shot in the arm and hand and transported to Boone Hospital.Investigators say they were called to four different crime scenes in the vicinity of Greenridge Road and Skyview Road as well as Woodland Drive and Blue Ridge Road. Police say people in two different vehicles were shooting at each other at Greenridge Road and Skyview Road. Cops also discovered two homes had been hit by gunfire on Blue Ridge Road and Leeway Drive. Two vehicles were also hit in the area.Police say the investigation is ongoing, but there is no suspect information.***ORIGINAL STORY***Columbia police are searching for suspects they believe shot 15 to 20 times from a car on Blue Ridge Road, hitting three people. The shootings happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday. Police say one man was shot in the back, another in the leg, and a third person’s hand was grazed. ABC 17 News still doesn’t know the status of the victims, but officers do not think their injuries are life-threatening.Police towed one car on Woodland Road with a bullet hole in the door. They also spent nearly an hour searching the street for a possible crime scene.
