12/27: Possible Freezing Drizzle

A weak storm system will move across the state Friday bringing a chance of freezing drizzle to the region in the morning hours as temperatures remain below freezing. Precipitation amounts are expected to be very light but could cause some slick areas of roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. Due to the intermittent nature of the drizzle, road conditions may quickly change over a short distance with little or no warning. Temperatures will climb above freezing after noon Friday, improving road conditions.A cold northwesterly wind will increase to 10 to 15 mph Friday night, bringing wind chill readings down as low as 8 degrees through early Saturday morning as morning low temperatures fall to near 20.
