Weather data from the last 30 years shows an average high temperature of 72 degrees for the start of October, dropping to 62 by the end of the month. Average low temperatures range from 50 on Oct. 1st to 41 on the 31st and on average we get 3.31 inches of rain during the month. The highest temperature reached in Columbia during October was 96 degrees back in 1939 while the coldest was 19 in 1895. The most October snow recorded was back in 1913 with 2.9 inches.
