Man Tries to Abduct Mid-MO Child

A suspect tried to abduct a Mid-Missouri child, according to police in Holts Summit.Officers got a call around 4 p.m. Thursday from a resident in the 300 block of North Summit Drive. The parent said somebody tried to lure an elementary-age student into a car.Police say the man did not make contact with the child, but right now, no one is charged in the crime.To report any suspicious behavior, please contact the Holts Summit Police Department.
