Girl Accidentally Shot

***UPDATE 10:45 P.M.***Family friends tell ABC 17 News the victim, 14-year-old Ashley King, is out of surgery at the hospital and expected to fully recover.***ORIGINAL STORY***Boonville police were investigating a shooting incident Saturday evening on 11th Street after a girl was accidentally shot.Police would confirm only that the girl was flown to University Hospital for a gunshot wound around 4 p.m. Saturday.Family friends have told ABC 17 News the girl’s father was cleaning the gun when it accidentally discharged, hitting her. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening and she remained stable at the hospital.Police were still at the house Saturday evening, but were also conducting interviews at the hospital.
